Technical publication catalogs can quickly become lists of titles and identifiers that are useful for citation but difficult to navigate. This library is organized around the research questions and programs behind the publications.
Individual records identify the publication format, subject, intended audience, status, and a direct route to the public artifact where one is available.

SFT publishes several kinds of technical work. The format and status of an artifact matter when deciding how it should be interpreted, cited, implemented, or used as evidence.
Technical Report
A substantial research or engineering treatment of an architecture, method, technical problem, formal model, or implementation concern.
Specification
A versioned normative or requirements-oriented artifact intended to support implementation, evaluation, interoperability, or conformance.
Public Review / Preprint
Work made publicly available while review, revision, publication preparation, or further validation continues.
Research or Policy Contribution
Technical work contributed to a broader research, standards, government, educational, or policy discussion rather than issued as a product specification.
